Academy of Modern Studies
Academy of Modern Studies was found by One Young World Ambassadors Vugar Adigozalov and Tamilla Mukhamedyarova. After Success Graduation of The Do School Vugar Adigozalov Received OFID Scholarship to attend One Young World Summit in Johannesburg, where he get to know well know human rights defender, migrant rights expert Tamilla Mukhamedyarova. After attending sessions on youth unemployment, conflict&peace and migration, Ambassadors decide to start new initiative, The AMS- a venture that provides skill based professional education to young entrepreneurs and job-seekers from marginalized backgrounds.
Vugar has a degree in Marketing and Management and is now pursuing his studies in economics and peace studies. He currently
works as the Country Manager of Vestel International in Azerbaijan, leading a team of more than 250. He is ambassador of One Young World Organization from Azerbaijan.
Vugar’s venture plan is to create training and co-working space where young people from marginalized backgrounds can develop
themselves as future professionals and entrepreneurs. He hopes that Academy of Modern Studies will turn into public institution where future professional and successful ventures develop.
Vugar has recently been nominated for the 2013 UN Human Rights Award – an award dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement in the field of human rights.

Tamila just finished her MA in International Development Studies in Russia. Participation in an international project in cooperation with Moscow State university allowed Tamila to travel Central Asia and learn about the role of development in indigenous communities. This work put her in touch with employment migrants who travel far from their homes in search of earning and material support. She has developed a strong knowledge of labor migrants from indigenous communities after spending seven months doing fieldwork in Tajikistan.
AMS Pop-up in Russia is an organization that aims to give practical skills to migrants by involving them in a part-time 10 weeks program in which they will have to complete skill based development courses before they proceed to internship phase at companies or a social business.
